In 2019, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera OHMSS Edition was unveiled as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969). This special edition honors the iconic 1969 Aston Martin DBS featured in the sixth James Bond movie. Limited to just 50 units, each representing a year since the film’s debut, the OHMSS Edition is a rare collector’s item.
All 50 vehicles were painted in the original Olive Green color of the DBS, and the ‘OHMSS’ Edition showcased distinctive diamond-turned forged alloy wheels, a custom grille, carbon fiber splitter, and advanced aero blades. Inside, every car featured luxurious black leather complemented by grey Alcantara and red accents, reminiscent of the red-trimmed glovebox in the film’s star car, which housed James Bond’s telescopic-sight rifle.
Despite its exclusive design, the OHMSS DBS maintained the same mechanical specifications as the standard DBS. This included the unchanged 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine producing 715bhp and 664lb-ft of torque. Located low and as far back as possible to optimize center-of-gravity and weight distribution, the V12 is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is achieved in 3.4 seconds, and the top speed is 211 mph.
