Just about every car maker these days has one or more SUV models in their lineup, and the same has been happening for the supercar brands like Lamborghini and Ferrari with the Urus and Purosangue, recently we’ve also seen an SUV from Lotus by the way, which makes sense as for instance for Lamborghini, their Urus Super SUV is the most successful model in terms of yearly production numbers in history, which brings us to another Italian supercar brand, Maserati, which has the amazing MC20, both as a Coupé and a Spider, but they also have the Grecale on offer, a small SUV model.
But being a small SUV compared to some of the US-made models doesn’t mean it lacks power, the Trofeo model we’re looking at in the video below comes with a very respectable 525hp and still retains the traditional styling we’ve been used to from the make with the trident as a badge, and get this, if you do opt for the most powerful Grecale version, the Trofeo, it comes with the V6 twin-turbocharged 3-Liter Nettuno engine derived from the MC20 supercar, but detuned from over 600 hp to 525hp for the SUV, which is ample power to get some serious performance from this four-seater, four-door, just check out Doug DeMuro‘s video below for all the quirks and features of the Maserati Grecale Trofeo:
