Jaguar has been in the news, but for the wrong reasons Ford is having to bail it out to the tune of ยฃ1.2 billion, while the failure of Jaguar Racing in Formula One is still a recent memory. When Ford bought Jaguar, it made improvements. There was not much wrong with the design of the range, the problem was the bought-in components. Henry brought muscle to bear and Jaguar shot up in customer satisfaction surveys. For a time it seemed that Fordโ€™s hope that Jaguar would one day compete with BMW had some substance, then came the new models made under the Ford regime.
