Being in the month of May, it seemed only fitting to explore an Indy 500 related Web site. This month’s site is devoted to the photography of Geof Miller and his father, Rex.
Focusing exclusively on Indy car racing, this site features photos taken by Geof that span the last 15 years of Indy, CART and Champ car history. Photo galleries of Geof’s work are organized by year and decade, or can be extensively searched by driver name, location or year.
One of the special treats of this site is a section devoted to the work of Geof’s father, Rex. Rex’s gallery features photography of his taken at the Indy 500 during the early ’70s and includes not only action and driver shots, but also a unique sequence of the infamous 1971 pace car crash, where the pace car exited the track, lost control and knocked over a photographer’s stand, injuring several photographers!
This is an interesting Web site, with some great historical shots of today’s racing, as well as the early ’70s period at Indy.
