New Zealand Motor Racing

If you enjoyed this month’s feature on the Tasman Cup Series and would like to learn more about the history of racing “Down Under,” then you will be interested to check out this month’s featured Web site devoted to the history of racing in New Zealand.

After WWII, New Zealand became well known for not only creating championship-calibre drivers, like Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme, but also for some great racing in the form of the NZGP and the Tasman Series.

Sections of this site are devoted to the history of the NZGP from ’54-’63, the history of the Tasman Series from ’64-’76, NZ driver biographies, details of the various race circuits and even copies of program covers from all the great races.

Each historical segment is nicely broken down into race-by-race sections with a detailed race history, numerous period photos and race and championship result tables. A great site, filled with interesting information.
