Forty years! That’s how long it’s been since our man Philip Toll Hill, Jr., became the first American to win the World Driving Championship.
There are two ways to look at such a span of time. I’ll bet some of us – maybe even Phil himself – would like to think it was only yesterday. Others may dismiss Hill’s achievement as ancient, irrelevant history.
