Promise Fulfilled Artwork
Wally Thomason conjures an image of Brooks, Vandervell and the tumultuous B.R.M effort.
For all the effort, expense and heartache generated by the committee at BRM, it fell to the clear, single-minded vision of one man, G.A. “Tony” Vandervell, to bring Britain its first World Constructor’s Championship. The sleek Costin-bodied Vanwall is seen here at Goodwood in 1957 with Vandervell, journalist/raconteur John Bolster and team driver Tony Brooks.
