Mark Donohue—Unfair Advantage Racing

Mark Donohue was a legendary American driver snatched from us before his time. Donohue’s long list of accomplishments include winning the 1972 Indianapolis 500, Trans-Am Championships in 1968, 1969 and 1971, the Can-Am championship in 1973 and the inaugural IROC Championship.

This month’s web site was created by a childhood friend of Donohue’s and is a fitting tribute to his memory and career.

Features of this site include a year-by-year look at the high points of Donohue’s racing career, as well as five photo galleries filled with rare and some personal photos of Donohue.

However, one of the most interesting sections is one that includes friend’s and colleague’s personal memories of Donohue. Among these is a great story of how Donohue nearly crashed the famed Porsche 917/30 at Watkins Glen trying to get back to the pits to go to the bathroom! These stories provide a unique insight into the man that you simply won’t find anywhere else.
