The Bugatti Divo was unveiled on August 24, 2018, at ‘The Quail – a Motorsport Gathering’ in Monterey, California. Named in honor of the French racing driver Albert Divo, who achieved two Targa Florio victories with Bugatti in the 1920s, the car is primarily based on the Bugatti Chiron. However, it incorporates new aero enhancements, a firmer suspension setup, and a modest weight reduction, making the Divo better suited for track usage compared to the Chiron.
It is powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine capable of generating approximately 1500 hp at 6,700 rpm and a constant torque of 1,600 Nm from 2,000 to 6,000 rpm. This potent engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. See it in action courtesy of this video from 19Bozzy92 as it attacks the Bernina Pass hillclimb course in Switzerland.
