Recently we’ve seen the announcement from Lamborghini on the Huracan 60th Anniversary edition, a limited number of models based on three versions of the current V10 Lamborghini model to celebrate the anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini SpA that was founded back in 1963 in Sant’Agata, Bologna, Italy. While this is a milestone for sure, the more important anniversaries are 50 years and 25 years usually, and just as it happens, we’ve got some amazing footage of the first ‘Anniversario’ Lamborghini made, the Countach 25th Anniversary from 1988, at the time the most popular Countach ever with about 650 units built in total, and believe it or not, a restyle from the original Marcello Gandini design by none other than Horacio Pagani … yes, the genius that brings us all those stunning Pagani hypercars these days.
Now, remember, back in the late Eighties we had Lamborghini Countach being officially imported into the United States of America, but those came with fuel injection on the massive V12 engine, and some rather ugly-looking front bumper, but the car in this video, finished in a stunning single-stage red, is a Euro-spec, which means it has the ‘thin’ front bumper and the ‘hump’ on the engine cover where the six double-barrel down-draft Weber carburetors live, this is the real deal, and it takes a master like AMMO NYC to detail this beauty back to showroom new condition before the car will be sold to a very lucky new owner … but for now, let’s take a look at a full detail on an Italian masterpiece:
