2015 NAIAS

2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)

Optimism is high at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) being held in Detroit where Ford’s new GT supercar being shown. It’s quite unlike its Le Mans-winning predecessors.

The new Ford GT is powered by a 3.5-litre, twin-turbo V6 which produces a remarkable 600 bhp. Wrapped in a carbon-fiber monocoque and equiped with active aerodynamics, Ford will achieve new heights with this model.

The other big story from Detroit is Acura’s second-generation, production NSX. After years of teasing, the 12-headlight Toyota supercar is finally here also with a twin turbo V6 mated to a nine-speed DCT transmission.

Other great releases from the NAIAS include the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, Buick Avenir Concept, Infiniti Q60 Concept, 2015 Shelby GT350R, Lexus GS F, Cadillac CTS-V and 2015 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS.

All the great cars can be found in our feature gallery from Detroit with real pictures from the floor.
