Famous YouTube star Tim, also known as Shmee150, took a trip to the famous track of Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, where just after the 24 Hours of Spa were concluded, Pagani came down for their Arte In Pista program so clients could drive their bespoke built Huayra R. I’m not sure Tim actually bought one of these, but he did manage to get behind the steering wheel of this ultimate Pagani, let’s hear what he had to say about it before we take a look at his video below:
THIS is the Pagani Huayra R! Never in my life did I think I might have the opportunity to drive a new Pagani Huayra R flat out at one of my favorite tracks in the world, Spa-Francorchamps! Welcome to Arte in Pista, and an experience straight out of my dreams.
The Pagani Huayra R is limited to just 30 cars, following on from the hugely exciting Zonda R, and marks the introduction of the Arte in Pista program for customers to drive their R models on track together in spectacular company. Bringing a whole lifestyle experience to the table, today is my opportunity to participate in the festivities at the circuit which hosts the Belgium F1 Grand Prix.
For the Huayra R, the V12 R powerplant comes in the form of a newly developed 6.0l NA V12 that makes 850hp and 750Nm, while screaming up to 9,000rpm, continuing the partnership between Pagani and AMG. Combine that with a 6spd sequential gearbox driving power to the rear wheels, a curb weight of only 1,050kg, and 1,000kg of downforce at 199mph (320km/h) and you have a very, very capable track hypercar.
Very few words can truly describe the experience of driving this car, from the sensation and emotion at the wheel to the immense spine-tingling feeling of the engine mounted rigidly behind you. Thank you to the team at Pagani for this amazing opportunity! Thanks for watching, Tim
