[2021 Edition] Current Supercars and Exotic Cars
Everything You Need To Know About 2021 Supercars & Exotic Models Including Prices, Specs & Reviews
Updated: February 18th, 2021
It has been very interesting watching the evolution of the supercar segment over the past two decades. For the most part, this period has provided a boon for the automotive industry while creating a much more competitive environment. This in turn has really driven innovation and investment in the supercar space, leading to a higher standard and greater selection of products.
Now, the supercar experience is accessible to a larger and more diverse demographic than ever before. While exotic automobiles still remain relatively expensive today, their exponentially improved performance, build quality, dependability and utilitarianism is justifiably drawing in more customers.
As a customer, this has been nothing short of a positive experience - and one that seems to keep getting better every year. Gone are the days when supercars were few and far between, outrageously expensive, predictably unreliable, and very costly to maintain. No longer is owning a supercar only practiced by the uber wealthy, or for borderline automotive masochists - it has become just as enticing for the pragmatists out there, too.
With respect to supercars and exotics, 2021 continues the streak of ushering in another year full of optimism and excitement. It does not appear that the challenges of 2020 have stunted any of the momentum from recent years, as we are (or will be) treated to some new and groundbreaking automobiles this calendar year.
All the major players in this space have kept their supercar lineups feeling fresh, with the likes of Audi, Ferrari and Lamborghini providing mild updates and new trims - such as the Audi R8 RWD - to their range. It’s exciting times at Maserati, Mercedes-Benz and even Lotus, with brand new models like the MC20 set to debut in 2021. At the time of writing, Porsche is generating the most fanfare; the new 992 GT3 was just unveiled, with the 992 GT3 RS and 718 Cayman GT4 RS on the horizon.
Here is a list of all the brand new supercars and exotics you can purchase in 2021.

There is a track-only model called the Mk II which will be sold in limited numbers (45 units). The 700 hp Mk II features a stripped-down interior, numerous chassis upgrades, and significant aerodynamic add-ons.

Top Speed: 202 mph
We believe that the rear-wheel drive variant of the Huracán EVO, is the best one by far. Not only does it offer a lower price point - having been stripped of its high-tech AWD goodies - it is also unapologetically, the most pure version you can get of this great sports car.
Enthusiasts will appreciate that this model is still powered by the same naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 used in the other trims, and that it has been slightly detuned to be more optimized for its rear-driven layout.
This is the sweet spot in the Lamborghini range. A fan favorite, for sure.

As the name alludes to, this car combines the best road-going characteristics of both the GT3 race car and the Huracán Evo production car. It’s a lightweight machine with the best aerodynamics the R&D department and Squada Corsa could put together. The ultimate Huracán road car.

It continues to utilize a unique 7-speed automated-manual transmission and an advanced all-wheel drive system. Overall, the formula remains unchanged – crazy looks, lots of noise, insane power and an excess of drama.
Improvements to drivetrain and a new control unit for its active vehicle management systems.

It is hard to objectively justify the price-premium of the Aventador S Roadster. The infotainment system feels like it is a decade old, the gearbox is clunky and horrible, and the ergonomics make it impossible to drive. And yet, this isn’t a car to be objective about.
This is a fire breathing roadster supercar with 730 hp from a naturally aspirated V12 that has tons of drama and excitement about it whether it is parked or doing in excess of 200 mph.

The balance of performance, looks, theater, tech and driving experience has never been more complete in a Lamborghini supercar. Like other Aventadors, it uses a two-piece removable carbon-fiber hardtop that stores in the front trunk.
Lamborghini’s ALA active aerodynamics system makes a return as well, reformulated to react more efficiently with the Roadster’s altered bodywork.

Engine: 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6
Power: 621 hp @ 7,500 rpm
Torque: 538 lb-ft @ 5,500 rpm
0-60 mph: 2.9 s
Maserati has stated that the design of the MC20 harkens back to its own cars, as far back as the 1950s. The most obvious nod to its past is its resemblance to the MC12, in terms of styling. The car features a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis engineered by Dallara, and butterfly doors.
The front splitter is right in line with the side skirts, which then lead seamlessly into the rear diffuser. These elements are all 100% hand-crafted carbon fiber. The chassis comes augmented with four drive modes: Wet, GT, Sport, and Corsa.
2021 McLaren 540C

Torque: 398 lb-ft @ 3,500 rpm
0-60 mph: 3.4 sec
Top Speed: 199 mph
This is McLaren’s entry level model. Despite its lower price, the 540C inherits performance-aiding technologies from its pricier siblings such as a system that applies brake pressure to one of the rear wheels to help guide the car around a corner.
A mid-mounted 533 hp 3.8L twin-turbocharged V8 drives the rear wheels of the 540C, allowing it to sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds, 0-124 mph in 10.5 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 199 mph. Based on price, it is a direct competitor to the Audi R8.
2021 McLaren 570S Coupe

In terms of sweet spots in the range, the 570S would have to be the one. This is the car you buy when you are sick of your Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini. It provides a true sports car experience; impeccably driver centric with remarkable performance.
It has more performance than you could ever need on the road, but just the right amount for the race track. Its ultra-lightweight chassis provides a direct steering feel and incredible driving dynamics. Suitable enough as a daily driver.

Engine: 3.8L M838TE twin-turbo V8
Power: 562 hp @ 7,500 rpm
Torque: 443 lb-ft @ 5,000-6,000 rpm
0-60 mph: 3.4 sec
Top Speed: 204mph
It has to be said that the 570GT is in a slightly peculiar position, now that McLaren has recently launched a specialized grand touring model. This GT, as in the 570GT, adds extra comfort and practicality to the 570 platform.
Performance is still tremendous, but it takes the edge off in some ways (which is good, and the whole point). It remains every bit a McLaren, but is now optimized for the road.
2021 McLaren 620R
Base price: $299,000
Engine: 3.8 L M838TE twin-turbo V8
Power: 612 bhp @ 7,250 rpm
Torque: 457 lb-ft @ 5,500 rpm
0-60 mph: 2.9 sec
Top Speed: 200 mph
In essence, the McLaren 620R is a 570S GT4 race car that’s legal for road use. While it's certainly allowed on public streets per se, we wouldn’t recommend it - the 620R leaves nothing on the table when it comes to being purposed for use on the race track.
It therefore has been stripped of many, if not all of the creature comforts expected for daily usage. Limited production run of just 350 examples.
2021 McLaren 720S
Base price: $300,000
Engine: 4.0L twin-turbo V8

Torque: 568 lb-ft @ 6,500 rpm
0-60 mph: 2.9 sec
Top Speed: 212 mph
The McLaren 720S is a sensational supercar, and easily the best from its lineage. One of the most outstanding features is its 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces a monstrous 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque.
Unrivaled chassis tuning, absurd amounts of speed, incredible acceleration - the best supercar for sale today, and the top spot in McLaren’s current model range in our opinion.
2021 McLaren 720S Spider
Base price: $315,000
Engine: 4.0 L twin-turbo V8
Power: 710 hp @ 7,500 rpm
Torque: 568 lb-ft @ 6,500 rpm
0-60 mph: 2.9 sec
Top Speed: 212 mph
The latest iteration of the current 720S – monikered “Spider” is a convertible variant of the 720S which comes with a folding hard top. The Spider retains the same DNA as the Coupe, utilizing a modified version of its carbon fibre tub chassis to accommodate the folding roof and its mechanism.
The Spider still achieves a remarkable top speed of 202 mph with the top folded. McLaren does a lot things better than anyone else, and throwing out convertible variants as good as the coupe is no exception.
2021 McLaren 765LT
Base price: $368,000
Engine: 4.0 L twin-turbo V8
Power: 755 hp @ 7,500 rpm
Torque: 590 lb-ft @ 5,500 rpm
0-60 mph: 2.8 sec
Top Speed: 205 mph
The latest Longtail model - the McLaren 765LT - replaces the 675LT as the newest limited-production track car. As with previous LT models, weight savings are the key focus for the 765LT, which sheds over 160 lbs compared to the base 720S.
Horsepower from the 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been upped from 710 hp to 755 hp, while torque is now rated at 590 lb-ft - an increase of 22 lb-ft over the 720S. For those who’ve been waiting for the ultimate Super Series track machine, this is the one.
2022 McLaren Artura
Base price: $225,000
Engine: 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 + hybrid electric
Power: 671 bhp

0-60 mph: 3.0 seconds
Top Speed: 205 mph
The latest entry from McLaren is full of new stuff. The new 3.0-liter V-6, which makes 577 horsepower is also the brands first plug-in hybrid model, and the first McLaren underpinned by the company's new MCLA architecture.
The Artura will be priced starting at about $225,000 and goes on sale later in 2021. The brief for the Artura was challenging: to create a series-production High-Performance Hybrid supercar that excels on every level, with performance, engagement and efficiency.
2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Coupe
Base price: ~$400,000
Engine: 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8
Power: 720 hp @ 6,250 rpm
Torque: 590 lb-ft @ 2,100 rpm
0-60 mph: 3.2 s
Most sources indicate that the new GT Black Series will cost over twice the price of a GT Pro - the trim ‘right below’ it. We do know that the Black Series will come with an engine which produces 720 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque - a significant increase 143 hp and 74 lb-ft over the Pro.
The car looks as badass as ever. The Black Series borrows cues from the GT3 car, utilizing a wide radiator intake, super aggressive hood outlets, an adjustable rear wing, AMG coil-over suspension and AMG Ride Control.
2021 Mercedes-AMG GT R and GT R Roadster
Base price: $162,900
Engine: 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8
Power: 577 hp @ 6,250 rpm
Torque: 516 lb-ft @ 2,100 rpm
0-60 mph: 3.5 s
The 577-hp AMG GT R condenses half a century of motorsports success into a single Nürburgring lap. Lightened, sharpened and strengthened, it’s racing DNA is evident in every fiber of its body, chassis and soul.
Sharpened on the Nürburgring, the 577-hp AMG GT R Roadster can bring half a century of motorsports heritage to life in a single lap. Lightened, honed and fortified, its soul can be found where the racetrack meets the sky. Our pick would be the coupe, a true track-focused monsters.

The Turbo S is quite simply made for those buyers who won’t settle for anything but the best and fastest 911 that can be had. This is no different for the 992 generation, with the latest iteration capable of completing the sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds (and sometimes quicker).
