In 2018, Ford sent shockwaves rippling through the car community when it announced a decision to stop producing sedan and hatchback models for the American market and instead focus its efforts on SUVs and crossovers (including those with electric powertrains). The American carmaker has largely kept to its word. Cars like the Focus, Taurus and Fiesta have disappeared, with the 2024 Escape as the entry-level offering into the North American Blue Oval family.
Today, the American lineup mostly features a mix of crossovers, SUVs and trucks. The Mustang lives on, though, and we are glad that the iconic muscle car has survived the sweeping changes at the automobile company. The 2024 Mustang, entering the 7th generation of the legendary name, together with the Ford Mustang GTD Supercar and a few 'souped-up' pickups and SUVs, form Ford's performance offering for 2024. There is also the Bronco Raptor, the first time the Bronco nameplate has had a Ford Performance tuning done to it, which is an all-terrain monster from the blue oval.
The carmaker's significant investment in electric powertrains and vehicles makes us wonder if there will be an all-electric Ford supercar in the near future. For now, here is the list of the Ford vehicles for 2024. We have included the pricing for the US models but not for Europe since that varies from country to country.

Current Ford Cars - Buyers Guide
2024 Ford Muscle & Performance-Focused Lineup
The Ford Performance lineup has shifted drastically in just a single year. In 2022, you had the choice of a Mustang Shelby 500, the Ford GT, and two different variants of Raptor, for the Bronco and F-150. For 2024, as the 7th generation Mustang is now on sale, there is not Shelby version available yet, with the 6th generation Mach 1 taking the current top spot with 470 HP. The most powerful regular production vehicle in terms of raw horsepower this year is the F-150 Raptor R. There are also two current Sport Technology (ST) models, the Edge ST and Explorer ST, which give the SUV's a little more pep in their step.
2024 Ford Performance Updates
Ford Mustang Dark Horse - The top of the line Mustang this year is the 7th generation Dark Horse, with a slightly more feature laden Dark Horse Premium option. Using the legendary Coyote 5.0 V8, it produces 500 HP. While it's only the first year of the 7th generation, you can go all in on a bet that there are Shelby models coming, maybe even as early as 2025!
Ford F-150 Raptor - The king of performance trucks for quite a while, it has remained unchanged from the 2022 model, still sporting the 3.5L twin-turbo V6. However, in 2023 it gained a bigger brother...
Ford F-150 Raptor R - ... in the form of this firebreathing monster. Using a 5.2L V8 borrowed from the 6th generation Mustang Shelby models, it has had a whacking great supercharger placed on it, developing 700 HP and 640 lbs-ft of torque through all four wheels. it is meant to be driven as hard off-road as on, as it riders on massive 37 inch tires, with Fox and Ford Performance teaming up to develop the long-travel but sporty suspension. It remains unchanged for 2024, but is a very hard truck to find as anytime one pops up, it's sold almost instantly!
Ford Bronco Raptor - According to Ford, deliveries of the Bronco Raptor have started in earnest. It is one of the most anticipated American releases of the year and should keep the momentum strong for the ultimate rock crawler.
2024 Ford F-150 Raptor
Base price: $$77,980
Engine: 3.5L Twin-Turbo V6
Power: 450 hp @ 5,000 rpm
Torque: 510 lb-ft @ 3,500 rpm
0-60 mph: 5.1 s
Top Speed: 107 mph
The original performance truck is still going strong, although It is nowhere near the capabilities of the Ram 1500 TRX (that's a job for the Raptor R). The 2024 F-150 Raptor is still a brisk mover, needing less than 5.5 seconds to hit 60 mph. Its 8,200 tow rating also means it's actually very practical as a work truck, and can haul a motorcycle trailer without issue if you want to go trail riding or to a motocross track for some practice.
2024 Ford F-150 Raptor R
Base price: $111,550
Engine: 5.2L supercharged V8
Power: 700 hp
Torque: 640 lb-ft
0-60 mph: TBD, estimated <4.5 seconds
Top Speed: Unknown
The big brother to the "normal" F-150 Raptor, the Raptor R is the sledgehammer that Ford has brought to the high-performance off-road truck fight. It is almost exactly on par with the current king of the hill, the RAM 1500 TRX, but has a few tricks up its sleeve by being built just as robustly as the Raptor, but with much more off-road oriented shocks and absolutely massive 37 inch Goodyear All-Terrains, which are made specially for the Raptor R! We can't wait to see who will win in the showdown that is sure to be coming at the end of summer
2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse
Base price: $59,485
Engine: 5.0-litre Coyote V8
Power: 500 hp @ 7,000 rpm
Torque: 418 lb-ft @ 4,600 rpm
0-60 mph: 3.7 s
Top Speed: 161 mph
When the Mustang Dark Horse appeared late in Q4 2023, many were surprised that there was not a Mach 1 model instead. However, the Dark Horse, and it's slightly more feature laden brother the Dark Horse Premium, is more powerful and faster than the 6th Generation Mach 1, and not by a small margin either. It obliterates 60 MPH in 3.7 s with the 6-speed manual, and makes one hell of a nice noise while doing so too. Rest assured, there is very likely a Mach 1 model coming in the future, but for now, the king of the Mustang hill is a Dark Horse with a big chip on its shoulder!
2024 Ford Bronco Raptor
Base price: $90,035
Engine: 3.0L twin-turbo V6
Power: 418 hp @ 5,750 rpm
Torque: 440 lb-ft @ 2,750 rpm
0-60 mph: 5.6 s
Top Speed: 160 mph
The Bronco Raptor is designed to do everything the regular Bronco can do, only better. The sturdy SUV is shod with massive 37-inch wheels, custom long-travel suspension and loads of hardcore off-road character. The Bronco Raptor will be exclusively available with a four-door body style, complemented by different individual packages and an extensive options list.
