The Sports Coupe We All Deserve
Toyota’s 2000GT is its most iconic sports coupe. The car was a revelation for the brand and for all Japanese automakers, really. Today, they’re worth around $1 million at auction.
What you see here is a modern interpretation of the model that I’d love to see made in real life. Nirmit Soni is the person behind this design concept. He was aided by Sandeep Dasari and Vitali Enes and Constantin Stein to create one of the most stunning concepts I’ve seen in a while.
The goal here was to create the design and pay homage to the original car while reimagining it for the modern age. I have to say, I think they pulled it off. This is a stunning machine unlike any other.
The car features camera mirrors, pop-out door handles, carbon fiber wheels, an active rear spoiler, and a roll cage. As Carscoops notes, hypothetically speaking, this is a truly impressive machine and a serious sports car. It’s a machine that Toyota should consider making in the near future.
