Wiesmann GT MF4-CS
A Wiesmann with everything needed for maximum performance – only 25 exclusive models available to celebrate 25th anniversary, road show starts after Motor Show
At the international Motor Show in Geneva Wiesmann will open the sports cars season with a world premiere and presents the Wiesmann GT MF4-CS to public for the first time. The typical Wiesmann principle of lightweight construction is epitomised by the Clubsport version of the Wiesmann GT-MF4-S.
The aim: perfect driving. The method: maximum performance at as low a weight as possible. By saving up to 20 kg in weight and with impressive performance characteristics, this car is pure emotion, whether on the roads or a racetrack. For its 25th anniversary, Wiesmann will be giving 25 customers an opportunity to own a Wiesmann that focuses on the essentials: sporty driving to the maximum. After the world premiere in Geneva the Clubsport will go on tour to selected Wiesmann Sales Centres in Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
To lovers of quick sports cars, “Clubsport” is the combination of two demands: real, measurable performance-oriented motorsport on the one hand and a car that can also be driven on public roads on the other hand. A car that makes the way to a racetrack to an adventure. The Wiesmann GT MF4-CS is a varied and sensitive racing machine with perfect technology that minimizes added comfort features in favour of sporting progress. It also gives drivers unprecedented opportunities to push a Wiesmann to its limit while still being able to influence its settings themselves.
The Wiesmann GT comes from good racing stock. Wiesmann has been garnering experience from 24-hour races on the Nürburgring and the Endurance Championship since 2002. Wiesmann presents its advanced version of this racing concept in 2013, and it is now available to all Wiesmann customers who want to own something truly special. The Wiesmann GT MF4-CS is the ultimate reduction of Wiesmann’s purist philosophy. Everything is centred on perfect tuning, with the aim of creating a brilliant racing machine.
The race car has a distinctive and instantly recognisable look: a considerably wider wheel arch and modified front with large splitter, daytime running lights and a carbon rear wing give this car a striking sporty design. The equipment also emphasises the sportiness of the car. The Clubsport package comprises a roll bar and a fully adjustable chassis developed by the manufacturer that adapts to road conditions and the driving style of the driver. In addition, sports brakes for improved braking are available as well as a specially tailored rear axle ratio for faster acceleration. A particular feature of the Wiesmann GT MF4-CS is the reduction in the car’s weight by up to 20 kg. The roof part is made from real carbon, which gives the car rigidity and reduces the weight. Other weight-optimised changes, such as the sports bucket seats, superlight polycarbonate windows and even the lack of door handles: all contribute to shaving tenths of a second off race times. Buyers can also request no air conditioning or audio system to save even more weight. An optional carbon pack for the interior gives the car a true race car look. Also, the optional track pack with four point harness, sport brake pads and Michelin Cup tyres make the Wiesmann ready for “the perfect lap”. These various options leave no-one in any doubt that the Wiesmann GT MF4-CS is more of a race car than any other Wiesmann before. The aim: maximum performance based on a combination of all these factors.
The high-speed V8 engine in the Wiesmann GT MF4-CS achieves 420 hp. With an unladen weight of 1350 kg, it has a power/weight ratio of 3.2 kg/hp. This enables it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4s and reach a top speed of 293 km/h.
The Wiesmann GT MF4-CS is a collector’s piece even before it has gone on sale. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the sports car manufacturer Wiesmann has built just 25 GT MF4-CS cars – highly exclusive editions with special features. The gear lever knob is engraved with the serial number of the car, which, together with a plaque, denotes it as one of the 25 limited edition sports cars. With this small run of exceptional GTs, the sports car manufacturer is celebrating the long-standing Wiesmann principle of lightweight construction. Its philosophy in building sports cars has always been to achieve optimal performance. The Wiesmann GT MF4-CS embodies the spirit of this philosophy: it is powerful, quick and uncompromising.
After the world premiere, the new model will go on a road show to selected Wiesmann Sales Centres in Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland. From Zurich to Lake Constance, from there to Wiesmann Alps in Munich and via Luxembourg (Wiesmann Lux) to Düsseldorf. Sports car fans will have the chance to get a close look at the Wiesmann GT MF4-CS at these seven Sales Centres. In addition to the vehicle presentation there will be an exclusive entertainment program in the evening. For individual questions about the road show don`t hesitate to contact the Wiesmann manufacturer directly. The new model will be presented at traditional spring festival on 13th and 14th of April 2013 in Dülmen. Apart from that there will be another appointment in Euskirchen at Wiesmann Rhineland.
