The Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA) held the Spring Sprints on May 6-7, 2011 at the 1.53 mile, 7-turn Lime Rock Park road course in Connecticut.
VSCCA is the oldest automotive preservation club in America that offers a complete race program in addition to rally and other automotive conservation events. The emphasis is on rare and unusual sports & racing cars including pre-war and certain post war cars through 1959. Participants at Lime Rock included the Stanguellini Formula Junior of Larry McKenna; Dudley Cunningham’s Lotus XI; Sandy Leith’s Bugatti T37; Aston Martin DB4 GT of Jack Boxstrom; Herb Wetanson’s Aston Martin DB4 GT and Allard J2-X; Mitch Eitel’s OSCA 750 Sport and the neat Panhard Dyna Junior of Robert Duell.
Photographer Michael DiPleco documented the VSCCA Spring Sprints at Lime Rock 2011 with a collection of pictures that capture the interesting mix of entrants set among the beautiful Lime Rock countryside.
