A Limited-Edition Variant
The Gordon Murray Automotive T50 supercar will have a track-only version made in limited numbers called the T50S Track Speed. Murray is famous for being the designer who crafted the famous McLaren F1 supercar. The company will build only 25 of the track-only cars, according to The Supercar Blog.
The vehicle will have aerodynamics and other equipment optimized for the racetrack. It will not be street legal. As you can imagine, it will be a stripped-down version of the car. It will likely be void of very many creature comforts at all. Everything will be optimized to make it the fastest it can be around a racetrack.
The car will reportedly still utilize the same powertrain as the road car. That includes a 3.9-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine. That engine will put out around 641 hp and 341 lb-ft of torque in the road car. In the track car, the engine will probably make around 700 hp. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The track car is said to weigh less than 900 kg (about 1,980 pounds).
The car is said to cost more than the road version. That could put the price at £2.50 million, which translates to about $3.2 million.
