Lamborghini Squadra Corse Reveals Track-Only Aventador

A Beastly 830 hp V12

Lamborghini’s Super Trofeo one-make series in Jerez, Spain, was the spot where the company decided to announce the track-only version of the Aventador. The car was built by the Lamborghini Squadra Corse motorsports division and it will feature a 6.5-liter V12 engine that blasts out 830 hp.

The car is a limited-edition vehicle and it is built for track use only. The car will be officially revealed sometime in 2020. The details of its official reveal are not yet known. Lamborghini will have to get the car out in by 2022 if it’s going to stick to its schedule to replace the Aventador with a new hybrid model.

What we do know of the track-only car is that it’ll feature a vented hood, an air scoop, and a large rear wing. The car gets a carbon fiber body, steel roll cage housing for the engine, a sequential shifting transmission from Xtrac, a self-locking differential, and some drive modes for different track conditions.

According to Motor Authority, the car may also get the SVR name. This is a special name for Lamborghini that dates back to the 1970s with the Miura SVR. Until we have more details, you can enjoy the video below.
