Looking for an awesome track car? ATS Automobili has you covered with the new RR Turbo. The track-only model was developed entirely in-house. The vehicle does use a Honda-sourced engine, though. That engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, and it punches out 591 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.
The engine can make that kind of power thanks to forged pistons, a big Garrett turbocharger, a bespoke air intake, and a special exhaust. Its powerband stretches from 4,000 to 7,000 rpm. The car also uses a monoblock bellhousing for the engine and transmission. This structure also supports other parts of the car, like the suspension system.
The car features a lightweight space-frame chassis. This chassis along with the monoblock bellhousing and all of the car’s other parts yield a super light curb weight of about 1,700 lbs. That allows you to make the most of the engine, the six-speed sequential transmission, limited-slip differential, and four-piston Brembo brakes.
Overall, the car is a monster of a track machine. It comes with a price tag of €110,000 (about $121,500), according to EVO. Deliveries of the model should begin in the spring months of 2020.
