Ideal TeamVenture’s Project P Is About to Debut
The name De Tomaso has all kinds of nostalgia attached to it. Folks loved the old company’s supercars, and now the brand will be making a comeback with the help of Ideal TeamVenture. Currently, the project is known as Project P, but that will change on July 4 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where the company will debut the De Tomaso in all its glory.
Some previous pictures of Project P were leaked a while back, but they were of pretty low quality and of a car in a full camo wrap. Now the company has put out an official teaser image. While the teaser doesn’t showcase much, it does have some significance for the brand. It’s been 60 years since Alejandro de Tomaso founded the original company. In the teaser is the number 60—a reference to the amount of time since the company officially opened.
It’s unclear what Project P will be called or totally look like, but many have speculated that it will be the reincarnation of the Pantera. That car was arguably the best-known vehicle put out by the brand. It’s also the car that the camouflaged car previously leaked looks the most like. It would be smart for Ideal TeamVenture to make the first modern De Tomaso vehicle the Pantera. It would help reacquaint people with the brand in the right way and give all the classic Pantera fanboys something to swoon over.
