The base Cayman is still a tasty proposition with its turbo 2.0-liter flat-four good for 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. It is perfect for the Porsche enthusiast who wants some fun without necessarily breaking the bank.

The Style Edition is a mildly upgraded base spec 718 Cayman, mostly with aesthetic and cosmetic changes. In terms of actual mechanical differences, the biggest one is the fitting of 20 inch rims, and some special trim pieces inside including upgraded sport seats, stainless steel illuminated sill plates, and a fully blacked out interior aesthetic.

The 718 Cayman S offers some extra grunt with a larger turbo 2.5-liter flat-four good for 350 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque. A decent bargain for the extra cost over the base Cayman.

The 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 ditches the turbocharged Boxer 4 engine for a naturally aspirated flat-6. Also, design tweaks make the Cayman GTS 4.0 look more aggressive compared to its turbocharged siblings.

The GT4 RS is the newest addition to the Cayman family. It does not come cheap but that extra premium gets you a car with blistering performance and a screaming naturally aspirated engine that can rev all the way to 9,000 rpm. It is also the only GT4 model currently available for the Cayman in 2024, as the "regular" GT4 has been discontinued.

The base Boxster is a performance bargain. At its heart is a turbocharged four cylinder engine with adequate torque and power for the small chassis. This is a mid-engined roadster you can enjoy everyday.

Compared to the Cayman Style Edition, the Boxster Style Edition stands out in the crowd, mostly due to its nearly-fluroescent pink paint job, contrasting interior color, white rims, and embossed cloth roof. It is definitely making a style statement, and is not a car for those that want to blend in, as it is shockingly pink

While the base Boxster is excellent, there is no hiding the fact that the Boxster S, with its extra power, is just that little bit more addictive. It's worth spending a little extra for the PDK dual-clutch transmission and Sport Chrono package. It not only makes the car faster but also makes it drive better.

The Boxster GTS 4.0 was first introduced in 2021 and remains in the lineup for 2024. Gone is the twin-turbo four-cylinder, and in its place is the 4.0 naturally aspirated flat-six, which sounds phenomenal. It's available with both dual-clutch automatic or 'row-your-boat' manual, each with its unique attributes.

The 718 Spyder RS sits in its own class with an engine as powerful as the one offered in the Cayman GT4 RS. The biggest difference is the ability to drop the top down so you can hear the sonorous howl of the engine as it redlines at 9,000 RPM, and feel the active aerodynamics of the body push it down hard into the road. The entire front end has been carefully shaped to slip through the air, and the buttressed tonneau cover is shaped to suck air back over the lip spoiler of the car, instead of creating a vortex over the cockpit, which helps it scream to 60 MPH in just 3.3 seconds.

There is no such thing as a "base" 911 anymore. At over $100,000, with a 0-60mph time of four seconds flat and everything you could ever want in a sports car, this 911 delivers almost everything a sports car enthusiast could wish for in a performance machine.

This 911 Cabriolet is only 0.2 seconds slower to 60 mph than its coupe sibling. The difference is negligible and easily forgotten when you consider the fact that you can enjoy this car with the top down..

For Porsche newbies, the '4' in Carrera 4 means all-wheel drive. It may come in handy for times when you require that little bit of extra traction. This may just be the perfect option if you live in cold climates and get lots of rain or snow.

The 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet is packed with all the goodies of the coupe but in a convertible variant.

The 911 Carrera S ups the ante with 443 horsepower from its turbocharged Boxer 6 engine unit. The 'S' designation stands for sport and enhanced performance, something the sports car delivers with a more aggressive driving style, bigger brakes and wheels.

It is similar to the 911 Carrera S but there's the added option of an all-wheel-drive system for extra traction and fractionally quicker launch off the line.

Only about 155 pounds heavier than the 4S coupe, the 4S Cabriolet makes a strong case for those who want all-weather traction and the added bonus of wind in their hair. It does carry a hefty premium over the coupe variant, though.

Introduced in 2022, the new Carrera GTS boasts a new lightweight package, available carbon-fibre-backed bucket seats, and more downforce at the rear. Power has also gone up to 473 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque.

The open-top 911 Carrera GTS offers a heightened feeling of freedom, especially with all that power under the throttle foot. When closed, the Cabriolet adopts the elegant silhouette of the 911 Coupé models – thanks to a fully automatic fabric hood.

It is the standard GTS but with the added all-wheel-drive option. It helps the car get to 60 mph 0.1 seconds faster. You will have to decide if it's worth the extra pricing compared to the standard GTS.

The 911 Targa models offers a similar level of performance compared to the 911 Cabriolets. However, it's hard to deny the special appeal of the characteristic Targa bar and innovative roof concept.

Like the standard 4S, the Targa 4S produces 443bhp from a six-cylinder, three-litre boxer engine with twin turbochargers, and puts it to the road via Porsche's refined all-wheel-drive system. The Targa 4S is planted and engaging just like the coupe, with elegant looks to boot.

The 911 Targa 4 GTS mirrors the performance specs of the 911 Cabriolet 4 GTS. The only major difference is the unique targa design that's a foundational aspect of the iconic 911 design language.

The 911 Turbo is at the business end of the 911 model spectrum. Its turbocharged engine churns out an impressive 572 hp and 533 lb-ft of torque. It's good enough for a sprint to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and a top speed just shy of 200 mph.

The 911 Turbo would not be complete with an open-top variant. For Porsche, that's enough justification for the 911 Turbo Cabriolet.

The 911 Turbo S is often regarded as one of the best in the lineup, and this year, that opinion remains unchanged. It is not cheap at $205,000, but that price comes with a host of performance upgrades that pushes the sports car into that exclusive 200 mph club.

The 911 Turbo S Cabriolet elevates the driving experience of the coupe variant with the ability to cruise with the top down. Thankfully, that benefit comes at only a slight compromise in performance.

Introduced in 2022, Porsche has continued the use of the naturally-aspirated 4.0L 9A1 flat-6 power plant in the Porsche 911 GT3. The only key differences between the engine used in the race car and the one used in the 992 GT3, are the exhaust system and ECU. This new GT3 is the seventh iteration of one of Porsche’s most established and beloved automobiles.

This model is similar to the 911 GT3 but the Touring Package loses the rear wing and just tones down the aggressive driving style a bit. It's the perfect option if you are not going to be hitting the tracks on a regular basis.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the hardest-core version of the 911 you can buy. Pushing the 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six to its maximum, the RS takes no prisoners and is designed to be used primarily on the track, courtesy of its massive wing, smooth underbody aerodynamics, and no-frills-just-driving interior aesthetic. For those wanting to push a little further, the $33,520 optional Weissach Package replaces many panels with carbon fiber or carbon composite pieces, replaces the lightweight aluminum alloy wheels with featherweight magnesium alloy ones, all of which contribute to 33 lbs in weight savings.

For the truly unhinged, however, there is the option to spend nearly $60,000 on top of the $241,300 price of the GT3 RS and have the car fettled, tuned, and upgraded by the Porsche-owned Manthey Racing company, creating the GT3 RS MR. A true track monster, it has been designed with only one purpose in mind, that being to obliterate lap records the world over. It's extremely expensive, but if you have the money and have some private track days, there are few cars that can beat a GT3 RS fitted with the Manthey Racing kit.

Announced in 2023, the Porsche 911 S/T is a celebration of the storied history of the model on its 60th anniversary. Since the 911 was developed from the lightweight racing models of the 356, it only makes sense that the S/T is the lightest Type 992 911 yet, at a scant 1,404 kg (3,096 lbs). It gains the 4.0L naturally aspirated engine from the GT3 model, but uses the GT3 touring body. Unlike the GT3 models, there is no PDK option, so those that ordered any one of the 1,963 production slots in August 2023 had to already know how to drive a 6 speed manual or learn rather quickly! It will catapult to 60 MPH in 3.5 seconds, and comes with a bespoke, S/T only livery in the customer's choice of colors.

The Taycan is powered by a standard 79.2-kWh battery and a rear permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor that makes 402 horsepower, though a 93.4-kWh battery is an option. It increases power to 469 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. 0-to-60-mph is achieved in 5.1 seconds with launch control and top speed is rated at 143 mph.

The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo gains standard air suspension, increased ride height and a 'gravel' mode that makes the car quite capable offroad. It is pretty pricey at $93,000, but then Porsche does not really make 'cheap' vehicles.

Like the 911, '4S' means this is a sportier version of the Taycan bolstered with an all-wheel-drive system. The EV's dual-motor setup blends well with the all-wheel-drive system, transforming the sedan into a sports machine with impressive capabilities.

The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo boasts even more power to ensure that the wagon styling is possible without noticeable performance loss compared to the Taycan 4S.

Porsche unleashed the wild Taycan GTS for the 2022 model year, hoping to capitalize on the Taycan's winning streak and sending out a strong statement of intent to rivals. The Taycan GTS smartly slots in the price and performance gap between the Taycan 4S and the Taycan Turbo models. It is a move that should help the carmaker capture even more of the market.

This Taycan GTS gets the wagon treatment while retaining the same performance attributes of the Taycan GTS sedan. It is a design that, among other things, boosts rear passenger room, cargo space and rearward visibility.

Of course, there are no actual turbochargers in the all-electric Taycan. The 'Turbo' designation just means this particular Taycan has extra oomph packed within its frame. The Overboost feature temporarily increases the already impressive 616 hp to an astonishing 670 hp, and this is not even the most powerful Taycan on the market!

The Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo is a proper road rocket in wagon form. There's also a 'gravel' mode that allows the driver to engage in some off-roading. Although, you will most likely want to stick to the tarmac where you can spring a surprise on unwary drivers with the Taycan's acceleration and speed.

The Taycan Turbo S sits at the head of the Taycan clan, with an overdose of power and mind-boggling performance. Its 2.6-second sprint time to 60 mph means it's faster than thoroughbred supercars like the Ferrari 488 Pista or Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

Yes, it is a wagon, but it will also rocket to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds. The Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo doesn't come cheap, though, at almost $190,000. It is the most expensive Taycan model variant. However, imagine pulling up to drop off your kids at school in one of the fastest wagons on the planet today.

The base Macan competes with the Audi SQ5 and the Jaguar F-Pace S, and with its turbocharged inline-four, it does hold its own rather impressively. The base Macan is a solid everyday car with solid dynamics and a top-notch all-wheel-drive system.

The newly released Macan T takes some of the pricier options from the base Macan and makes them standard equipment without a price premium on them. The two biggest things made standard are the Sport Chrono Package and the Porsche Active Suspension Management system, as well as the $900 Bose Audio System upgrade as well. It also sprints to 60 0.2 seconds faster than the base model, thanks to the Chrono and PASM packages.

The Macan S is the 'sweet spot' of the Macan range, perched nicely between the base trim and the hardcore GTS. In addition to the power bump, standard features include a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-speaker audio system, and LED headlights. You can also utilize the extensive options list to spec out the car to suit personal tastes.

The Macan GTS is the most expensive Macan and, unsurprisingly, the most powerful. The 434-hp 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 pairs well with a quick-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel-drive for a thrilling experience behind the wheel. The crossover is officially rated at 4.3 seconds to reach 60 mph. However, the car has proven to be much quicker in real-world tests, hitting 60 mph in under 4 seconds.

The Macan 4 Electric is the second EV in Porsche's lineup, sharing the same underpinnings as the Taycan 4. It has the same motors, but upgraded power output as the CUV is naturally slightly heavier than the sedan. This upgraded power gives it a sub-5 second 0 to 60 time when using launch control. As the battery pack is naturally larger as well, it has an estimated range of 381 miles in mixed highway/city driving.

If the Macan 4 Electric is a bit too slow for you at 4.9 seconds to 60 mph, the Macan Turbo Electric is your answer. Using an upgraded version of the Taycan Turbo setup, it produces up to 630 HP when using launch control, and runs at a nominal 576 HP. It's the monstrous, continuous 833 lb-ft of torque on hand that makes this one very rapid CUV. It will decimate 60 MPH in just over 3 seconds, and will happily keep powering all the way up to a governed 161 MPH.

The base Panamera is equipped with a 2.9 litre twin-turbo V6. Upgraded over the 2nd generation, it puts out a very respectable 348 hp. It may be the entry-level model but this sports sedan will still set you back by almost $100,000. However, for that, you get a sport saloon that has its handling reworked from it's already high quality to razor sharpness, and with the extra power, will catapult you out of the corners onto the next straightaway.

The new Panamera 4 gets a reworked all-wheel-drive system that translates to more traction off the line, making it slightly faster than the base Panamera. The new AWD system uses the same variable torque vectoring that the Type 992 911 Carrera 4 uses, meaning you get epic amounts of grip to the wheels that have the most traction, on top of the upgraded handling the Type 972 Panamera has already received.
