The Car, The Landscape, So Beautiful
Koenigsegg’s Jesko hypercar was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and then quickly sold out. The company built this amazing machine to replace the Agera RS hypercar, and it’s a worthy successor in every way. The Jesko will be sold alongside the company’s Regera model.
The Jesko features a V8 with a flat-plane, 180-degree crankshaft and two turbochargers. This configuration makes it good for a whopping 1262 hp. According to Carscoops, on E85, the car’s engine will put out 1578 hp and 1106 lb-ft of torque, which is absolutely insane.
Jesko built a transmission in-house to handle all that power. That transmission puts all the power down to the rear wheels. Official speed and acceleration numbers have not yet been released. It should be extremely fast, and the car’s equipped with enough aerodynamic elements to produce over 3,000 square feet of downforce. That should make it a killer track car.
The company has said in the past that the car should be capable of 300 mph, which is a goal set by not only Koenigsegg but several other super and hypercar manufacturers. We recently reported on a Ford GT that achieved that goal for a street-legal car, so Koenigsegg won’t be the first to do it if it can get its car there. However, it would be the first car that is set up to do that from the factory.
All details about the Jesko aside, here are some gorgeous images of the model snapped in the jaw-dropping Switzerland landscape.
