Aston Martin Valkyrie
The Aston Martin AM-RB 001 has been officially unveiled! The Aston Martin AM-RB 001 or Aston Martin Valkyrie (official name) is currently on display at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie carries a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that is designed and built by Cosworth. The engine will be paired with a Rimac battery pack for a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio – 1 bhp per kilo. Based on those calculations, it’s safe to presume that the car’s total power output will be between the 900hp and 1000hp range or even more.
Its carbon-fiber MonoCell will be supplied by composites specialist, Multimatic. Multimatic is noted for their development of the basis for the One-77 and Vulcan projects. They are working with Red Bull Advanced Technologies to develop a superb carbon fiber platform.
There will be150 road going units of the Aston Martin Valkyrie will be made, including all prototypes, with 25 additional track-only versions. Deliveries are projected to start begin in 2019.
