The Best of Mercedes-Benz At The 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed
The folks at Mercedes-Benz have been on-fire lately in terms of churning out amazing cars for us car fans. Yours truly owns a current model Mercedes-AMG C 63 S (I also owned the previous C63 which I loved) so it is always exciting to see some of the latest new cars from Mercedes-AMG. It wasn’t just new cars either, with the Mercedes-Benz Classic team represented by range of cars from the company’s 130-year history.
Mercedes-Benz bought along the 280 E (W123) rally car from 1977, a Mercedes-Benz 540 K Streamliner of 1938 and a Mercedes-Benz 1957 300 SLS.
For those looking for some extra comfort there was the relaxing Mercedes-AMG S 63 Cabriolet with its gentle 585 hp. On the sports side, the animal Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Edition 1 Coupé and Mercedes-AMG GT S made an appearance. Mercedes-Benz saved the best for last, launching the new green monster, the Mercedes-AMG GT R, basically a car designed for those who think the Mercedes-AMG GT S is a little too civilized.
