Replacing the Virage Volante, this model was introduced at the 1997 London Motor Show as a larger, more luxurious model. It featured the same styling upgrades as the 1996 V8 Coupe and used a longer wheelbase which offered more interior space.

Coming from Aston Martin’s Newport Pagnell the V8 Volante was an expensive convertible. Much of £169,500 price tag was spent on an opulent interior with the finest woods and leathers.

Although very heavy, the car was capable of 150 mph thanks to gearing and the 354 bhp V8 from the V8 Coupe.
