1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30hp Gurney Nutting de Ville GMP73 – sold for €89,700 Chassis number ‘GMP73’ was sold new via H R Owen to a Mrs G Marsh of Edgbaston, Birmingham on 5th February 1938. only known remaining 25/30 with Sedanca de Ville coachwork designed by John Blatchley for Gurney-Nutting. Described as in generally good condition, the car starts and runs well. Noteworthy features include an electric internal division; small vanity set to the rear; fitted under-trays; extensive small tools housed beneath the driver’s seat; and a fabric folding Sedanca, the latter working well. Accompanying documentation consists of the aforementioned invoices; copies of the factory build sheets, and a UK V5C document for the registration ‘ELL 583’.
