1974 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 NART Spyder Le Mans
Chassis 15965 started life as a standard 1972 European production Daytona. In 1974 Michelotti rebodied the car for Luigi Chinetti of the North American Racing Team (NART). The car featured many unique elements including a removable targa roof and an electrically operated rear window.
In 1974 this very car and three other heavily modified Ferraris entered Lemans from the NART team. All 4 cars were pulled when one of Luigi Chinettei’s cars was disqualified 8 mins before the race.
This car was auctioned in 2001 by Christies at a selling price of $295 000 USD. It also appeared at the 2006 Le Mans Classic.
