Concours d’Lemons (2024) – Recap & Photo Gallery

If you’ve not heard of the Concours d’Lemons, it’s a tongue-in-cheek car show that takes place during Monterey Car Week.

They see me rollin’!

This unique event celebrates the “oddities, the mundane, and the truly awful” of the automotive world.

Chris Overzet, owner of this 1976 Lincoln featuring a roof mounted horse and body panels covered in brown fur, won ‘Worst of Show’ at the 2024 Concours d’LeMons

Unlike traditional Concours events, which primarily highlight pristine and historically significant vehicles, the Concours d’Lemons takes a left turn and instead focuses on the quirkiest, most eccentric, and sometimes downright ugly cars that have somehow survived the test of time.

It’s a fun event where you’ll never guess what comes next and it’ll keep you on your toes the entire time.

At the Concours d’LeMons, a motorized dream,

Where rusty old wrecks are the stars of the show,

A jalopy parade where the lemons all gleam,

In a world of fine autos, these stand proudly low.

With bumpers askew and paint jobs a mess,

The engines that sputter, but somehow still run,

A symphony played in chaotic distress,

Yet these quirky machines bring barrels of fun.

The judges don’t fawn over polish and sheen,

The uglier, the better, it’s the odd that’s seen.

So here’s to the clunkers, the cars of our dreams,

Not perfect, but loved in their own special way,

At the Concours d’Lemons, where nothing’s as it seems,

We celebrate failure, but with smiles all day.
