2021 Supra Gets “Sport Top” for SEMA

If you were at or following SEMA last year, chances are that you drooled over the “Re-Entry Red” 2020 Supra GR Heritage Edition. Toyota has built a one of one 2021 Supra Sport Top, a variant of a Targa-top, for the virtual SEMA show this year.

This car pays tribute to the A80 Toyota Supra of the ‘90s. Per CarandDriver.com, Toyota has said “just an awesome one-off concept. Nothing forward-looking to announce.”

Much like the Heritage Edition from 2020’s SEMA show, the 2021 Supra is sporting a massive wing and tasteful body mods. The chopped roof came compliments of KC’s Paint Shop in Fort Worth, Texas. The car has two 3D printed roof panels which came from Toyota Motor North America R&D, Ann Arbor, Michigan. These custom roof panels fit perfectly into the trunk.

The body of the Supra has also been reinforced to compensate for the missing roof. This ensures it keeps any “flex” the car has to a minimum. In addition, it’s packing a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six thanks to BMW, producing 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. That’s almost a 50hp jump from the 2020 Toyota Supra.
