Welcome to the 39th Annual Concours d’Elegance, at the Inn at St. John’s in historic Plymouth, Michigan.
One of the premier vintage auto shows in the country returned for a three-day auto enthusiast paradise. The special car shows, a world class automotive art exhibition, seminars and nearly 300 classic, rare and magnificent automobiles from around the nation, and our friend Steven Hauptman was there to shoot it all.
The Concours d’Elegance has its roots in 17th century France, when the aristocracy would parade their horse-drawn carriages through the parks of Paris. With the creation of the automobile, Concours d’Elegance events evolved into competitions between automobile manufacturers, custom coach builders, and owners, whose vehicles were judged on the beauty of their design.
