The Best of Aston Martin At The 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Our favorite British car maker came to the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed with all guns blazing. The very best that the luxury British sports car brand has to offer.
There were lots of Aston Martin cars heading up the hill at Goodwood, including the Aston Martin wings on the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car.
Most exciting for the Supercars.net team was the global launch of the Aston Martin DB11. Man, that car looks so nice in person. We can’t wait to drive it and really see how far the game has moved on from the DB9.
There was also the super-exclusive, 820bhp and generally over the top (in every way) Aston Martin Vulcan. It returned to the 1.16-mile hillclimb after making its debut at last year’s Festival of Speed. The all-carbon fibre supercar earned it the Michelin Tyres Showstopper Award.
“What an honour to drive the Aston Martin DB11 at Goodwood. Everyone at Aston Martin is proud of the DB11 so to be able to show it off in front of some of the best enthusiasts in the world was a real pleasure”
“The Festival of Speed is a great opportunity for car manufacturers to celebrate the past 12 months and for Aston Martin there has been a great deal to celebrate. From the success of Vulcan to the launch of DB11, we’re living through one of the most exciting times in Aston Martin’s history. Thank you to everyone who joined us across the weekend.”
A celebration of everything Vantage saw the Vantage GT8 and the V12 Vantage S join the exclusive Vantage GT12 Roadster at Goodwood. Fresh from Le Mans, the still dirty V8 Vantage GTE was also there for the show.
