2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed
This year was the 23rd running of the Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb which was won outright by Olly Clark driving his Subaru Impreza ‘Gobstopper II’.
Of course there were plenty of great sights, but for many the assembled display of Mercedes-Benz 300 SLRs defined the event. All but one surviving car were at Goodwood including Stirling Moss who piloted 722 up the hill.
Many companies used Goodwood to show off new cars. Lotus unveiled the Lotus 3-Eleven and Aston had their DB9 GT.
Track day specials were especially popular at Goodwood this year. Cars like the Aston Martin Vulcan, Ferrari FXX K and McLaren P1 GTR showcased the pinnacle of sports car performance.
The Supercar run had all of the usual suspects and was won by Anthony Reid in a Noble M600.
