2014 Lone Star Le Mans Weekend
Texas payed host to the world’s endurance racing teams this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas including separate races for the FIA World Endurance Championship and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
Audi, Porsche and Toyota each brought out their Le-Mans contending teams for the 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas which was the 4th round of the World Endurance Championship.
Many teams were caught in an immediate Austin rain chaos rain that halted the race for a considerable time and caught the leading Toyota off guard. Eventually the steady fast #1 and #2 Audis placed first and second with the #2 R18 of Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer taking first overall.
The slightly less contested TUDOR Championship pitted the privateer Riley Daytona Prototypes against the Corvette DPs which resulted in Scott Pruett and Joel Miller taking first overall.
Our galleries of both the WEC and IMSA TUDOR races feature many of the best cars from each series.
