2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is Britian’s top motoring event and our gallery has all the highlights from this year’s edition.
Unexpectedly Ferrari brought out the best modern supercars with a bright green LaFerrari freshly delivered to Jamiroquai singer, Jay Kay and the new, one-of Ferrari F12 TRS.
Maserati celebrated its centenary at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed and many great examples ran up the hill including an a very quick MC12 driven by Michael Bartels in Goodwood Cent 100 livery. Further more the Maserati A6GCS/53 Pinin Farina Berlinetta won the Cartier Style and Luxe concours.
Some nice groups were in the event including the Old Number 1, 2 & 3 Bentley Speed Sixes and Peugeots 2013 and 1987 Pikes Peak contenders the three surviving 1914 Mercedes GP cars and a quintet of Jaguar D-types.
On Friday Bonhams had the distinction to offer the ex-Ecurie Franchorchamps 1954 Ferrari 375 Plus and received a resounding £10,753,500.
By day 4 Sebastian Loeb was more than two seconds faster than anyone else up the hill using his 2013 Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak.
