2013 Vörsteiner MP4-VX
In August of 2013, Vörsteiner International debuted their bodykit for the McLaren MP4-12 known as the MP4-VX. It consists of a front bumper, side sill extension plates and a rear bumper that can be fitted to both the coupe and spyder.
All the pieces are made from carbon fiber which Vörsteiner describes as “2×2 Carbon Fiber Pre-Preg w. 4 Stage UV Inhibiting Clear Lacquer Coating”
Vörsteiner describes the pieces:
Enhancing the aerodynamics of the front end, we have the front bumper with integrated spoiler. These pieces are created to keep functionality without the compromise quality, aesthetics, or performance. The styling of these components takes the MP4-12C a step away from sports car and a step closer to race car. Availble options are Carbon Fiber Aero Front Spoiler Replacement and PDC Sensor Opening.
Remaining true to the Mclaren F1 race heritage, the addition of the rear bumper with the newly designed diffuser was engineered carefully to stabilize the additional down force provided by the front and side elements. Vorsteiner’s Autoclaved Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber structure gives our parts superior stiffness, aerospace strength & durability compared to traditional hand laid carbon fiber composites. Availble option are PDC Sensor Opening, European License Plate Bracket Holder and Rear Diffuser with Dual Tunnels Replacement.
