2011 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion-1

In August 2011, Laguna Seca Raceway lit up with the sights, sounds and smell of classic race cars being driven the way they were meant to. Real mechanics, real race car drivers and real (often very expensive) cars racing in all their glory.

The 2011 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion (formerly known as the Monterey Historics) was all about motorsport history at the iconic Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. It is biggest event at Monterey Classic Car Week and the only event of the week where these priceless cars actually go racing.

Cars are invited based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance and period correctness and the 2011 lineup was full of the Supercar team’s favorite motorsports icons.

The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is not a professional event, and has no awards or prizes for finishing position.

The 2011 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will honor Jaguar – its racing heritage and a special tribute to the 50th anniversary of the iconic Jaguar E-Type. More than 550 historic race and sports cars will line up on the starting grid in 17 race groups throughout the weekend.
