2009 Quail Motorsports Gathering – Gallery 2
Held at the Quail Lodge Resort near Carmel-By-The-Sea on August 15th as part of the Monterey Car Week events. The 2009 edition of The Quail honored 50 years of racing at the Daytona International Speedway and paid tribute to the cars of Californian designer and manufacturer Bill Devin.
Celebrations also included the 30th Anniversary of BMW Motorsport’s first modified production auto, with a display of factory hot rods made with M badging.
The sold-out Quail Motorsports Gathering once again impressed its 3,000 guests with a collection of the world’s rarest sports and racing automobiles and motorcycles. Of the vintage cars on display, one automobile received top honors as the Rolex Best of Show was the 1937 Alfa Romeo owned by Bob Lee.
