2001 Ford XR8 Xplod Concept
The heart of the Xpl>d is a 350kW, 5.7 litre V8 engineered by Rod Herrod. Starting life as a 5.0 litre V8 the block has been stroked to 5.7 litres with add ons including a Herrod / Morrison developed 8 throttle body intake manifold, Ford SVO alloy cylinder heads, a Herrod / Crow developed camshaft and Yella Terra roller rockers and steel flywheel.
