2001 Ferrari F2001
Hoping to hold onto the Manufacturers title, Ferrari entered the 2001 season with confidence. The team remained much the same as in 2000 with the same management and Bridgestone tire contract. The F2001 was the first Ferrari of the third millennium and it’s also the first time that the year has been reflected in the car’s name. The engine, 050, held to tradition and follows from the previous 049.
The bodywork of the F2001 was modified heavily compared to the 2000 car due to new FIA regulations to improve safety.
In 2001 Ferrari repeated their previous sucess winning the constructor’s title and Schumacher taking the driver’s championship.
