1986→1988 Mazda Savanna RX-7 GT
IN 1985, Mazda launched the Savanna RX-7 as the second generation RX-7 for the Japanese domestic market. It was primarily built to challenge the Porsche 944. It was offered either with our without a turbocharger.
The twin-rotor 13B-VDEI engine produced 146 hp in standard trim and 185 for the turbocharged models like the GT.
In 1988 the Savanna RX-7 was upgraded to the fifth series with a more powerful engine and body kit.
