Trevor Wilkinson started his engineering business, in 1946, in Beverly Grove, Blackpool. It was named Trevcar Motors and the business was general engineering, work was not always automotive-related. A year later, Trevor was joined by auto enthusiast Jack Pickard. The company was then renamed TVR Engineering and carried on much in the same vein.
