The sixth-generation letter car was the 300F which benefited from unit-body construction and a new Wedge engine and the largest rear fins in the series.
From the exterior, the 300F was completely restyled compared to the preceding 300E. New to the car was cross-hatch grill that placed the 300F logo front and center.
