1956→1957 Continental Mark II

In 1956 Ford launched Continental as an entirely new brand and the Mark II with some of the highest standards in the industry. Costing almost five times more than the average Ford, the Continental was very limited and meant to challenge the best that Cadillac could produce.

Attention to detail was high and each Mark II was hand built. Despite the high price tag, Ford still lost money on every model, which they would correct for the 1958 model year.

Over a two year production span, the model was a successful as a halo car to the Ford brand with over 3000 units sold. Famous personalities such as Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley were owners of this model.
