In an attempt to boost sales, E.L. Cord renamed the 1936 810 into the 1937 812. No determinable upgrades were made to the model, except a supercharger was available for the first time. The 812 didn’t meet its predicted sales, but with over 3000 cars sold, it would have been a resounding success for anyone except the over-optimistic E.L. Cord.
