1927→1937 Minerva AK

The Minerva Type AK, manufactured from 1927 to 1937, was powered by a six-cylinder, 6.0 litre engine producing 150bhp. A unique feature of this unit was the Knight-licensed sleeve-valves which were fitted to very few cars of the period.

Long- and short-chassis versions of the AK were made, the latter being capable of 90mph, while Dewandre vacuum servo brakes made sure that this heavy car stopped as well as it went.

Our feature car, chassis 58393, is one of the best AKs by having a Faux Cabriolet body by Henri Labourdette. It was first ordered by a banker in New York and subsequently shipped to Morocco. It was displayed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 1998.
