Jaguar Lightweight E-Type
One of our regular readers Gill Lucas is one of the lucky few who lives in a world where cars and photography collide and he happens to always get stuck right there in the middle. I really do feel bad (like never).
It just so happens a few weeks ago Stratstone UK unveiled their ownership of one of the six new £1.2m Jaguar Lightweight E-Types and guess who was on hand to shoot an awesome short film and series of images.
Many of you remember a few years ago when Jaguar announced that it was going to complete the production run of the original Lightweight E-type. In 1963, Jaguar planned to build a total of 18 examples. However, only 12 were completed. They wanted to finish the rest. Well, this is one of them.
Stratstone has set up a website to log the ongoing exploits of Lightweight E-type No. 15. We’re excited that they want to use it and not leave it sitting “static like a museum exhibit, lying beneath a dust-sheet”. Definitely check out their dedicated Lightweight E-Type website, well worth the time.
Enjoy the video and photos and don’t forget to check out Gill’s car-porn worthy blog at Harniman Photography blog.
