1975 Alpine Renault Berlinette 1600 SC A1101600VD20365

The certificate from the factory, shows the delivery date September 27 1974, in its unusual livery of “Noir Tulip # 6431”. The register of Mr. Grosset shows that it was sold to Relex, Renault’s communications department. According to the seller, and confirmed by the brand color paint specialist of Alpine Renault, Mr. Lesort- Pajot, this car is the only one known to still have this color paint. In early October 1974, the car was on display by the factory, at the Paris Salon, with this particular color. It is therefore logical that the car on sale was the one exhibited on the Alpine booth (see photo). In 2009, the car was restored frame-up confirming to original specs, on a very sound and comprehensive way. The original engine was rebuilt with new pistons and liners and all peripherals were redone. The specific bumpers to this model come with the car because the addition of spotlights necessitated the installation of shorter bumpers. Electronic ignition was installed and the body was treated with Teflon recently. This Berlinette with its dark livery has covered 129,000 km as can be seen on the odometer, but has covered just 3,000 km since its refurbishment. A folder with all invoices and photos of all work carried out comes with the car.
