1965 Pontiac GTO
In 1965 both the Pontaic Lemans and Tempest were restyled to include twin vertical headlights. With the new look came increased horsepower from improved intake manifolds and radical camshafts. That year Pontiac sold over 75 000 Tempest GTOs which convinced Pontiac to make the GTO its own model.
